A.Handling of personal data
We wish to provide you with information about how we handle your personal data when you use our website. Unless otherwise indicated in the following chapters, the legal basis for the handling of your personal data arises from the fact that said handling is necessary to make available to you the functionalities of the page you requested.
I. Use of the website
1.Accessing our website
When you access our website, your browser will transfer certain data to our web server. This is done for technical reasons and is required to make available to you the information requested. To facilitate your access to the website, the following data is collected, stored and used briefly:
- IP address
- Date and time of access
- Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
- Content of request (specific site)
- Access status/HTTP status code
- Data transfer volume
- Website requesting access
- Browser, language settings, browser operating system version and its interface
At the same time, in order to protect our legitimate interests, we will store said data for a limited period of time in order to be able to track personal data in the event of unauthorized access or attempted access to our servers.
2.Registration and login
In order to place an order through our website, you must first register an account with us, where you can set up your personal login credentials and the ability to log into your personal account. For the purposes of this registration process and subsequent login, we collect the following personal information:
- First name and surname
- Contact details (incl. email address and phone number)
- Street address, Department
- Customer identification (if available)
- Username and password
- Login history log file incl. timestamp
- License number
The system creates a user ID after registration for authorization purposes. We process this personal information to provide you with access to our websites’ services. These data will be deleted if you deactivate your user account.

Our website uses “cookies”. Cookies are small text files that are stored in your computer’s memory by your browser. They store certain information (for example, your preferred language or page settings) that your browser may (depending on the duration of the cookie) transmit to us on your next visit to our website.

Our site uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service from Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (hereinafter, (“Google”).
Google will analyze your use of our website on our behalf. To do this, we use the cookies described in greater detail in the table above, among others. The information collected by Google in relation to your use of our website (for example, the referring URL, the websites you visit, browser type, language settings, operating system and screen resolution) will be transmitted to a Google server in the United States, where it will be stored and analyzed. The respective results will be made available to us anonymously. In this process, your usage data will not be connected to your full IP address. We have activated the IP anonymization function offered by Google on our site, so that the last 8 digits (IPv4 type) or the last 80 bits (IPv6 type) of your IP address are removed. In addition, Google is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield,which ensures an adequate level of data protection with respect to the processing of data by Google in the United States.
You can withdraw your consent to use web analytics at any time, either by downloading and installing the provided Google Browser Plugin extension or by managing your consents in the table above, in which case an opt-out cookie will be placed. Both options will prevent the use of web analytics as long as you use the browser where you installed the plug-in or you do not delete the opt-out cookie.
5. Use of Contact Forms
You can contact us directly using the contact forms available on our website. In particular, you can provide us with the following information:
- Name, surname, gender and title.
- Contact details (for example, email address, phone number)
We collect, process, and use the information provided by you through the contact forms solely in order to process your specific request.
6. External services or content on our website
We include third-party services and/or content on our website. When you use these third-party services or when third-party content is displayed, communication data is exchanged between you and the respective provider for technical reasons.
The respective provider of the services or content may also process your data for their own additional purposes. To the best of our knowledge, we have configured the services and content of known providers to process data for their own purposes in such a way that any communication for purposes other than to present their services or content on our website is blocked or only takes place once you have actively chosen to use the corresponding service. 7. Using the recommendation function.
If you want to recommend us to others, you can do so using the recommendation function on our website. You may, in your and our legitimate interest, send a message to anyone if you believe that the recipient wishes to receive such information.
People who do not want to receive messages through our recommendation function can request to be placed on a list of blocked recipients by following the instructions included in the corresponding message.
This site uses a chatbot. The purpose of this chatbot is to provide you with more information about careers at Bayer that are tailored to your needs. Call histories are stored for 30 days so you can continue any call later. This storage period is renewed if the dialogue continues within 30 days. You can adjust settings for this directly in the chatbot by selecting the cookie icon.
Retention period of personal data
Your personal data will be stored for six months from the time your application is received. If you submit a new application during this period, the retention period will be recalculated based on the new application.
Transfer for the commissioned data processing
To process your data, we will use specialized service providers to a certain extent. These service providers are carefully selected and regularly monitored by us. Based on the respective data processing agreements, they will only process personal data according to our instructions and strictly in accordance with our guidelines.
Data processing outside the EU/EEA
In part, your data will also be processed in countries outside the European Union ("EU") or the European Economic Area ("EEA"), which may have a lower level of data protection than European countries. In such cases, we will ensure that a sufficient level of protection is provided for your data, such as by signing specific agreements with our contractual partners, or we will request your explicit consent for such processing.
